So here we are waiting for ANY news on our baby. I don't care what it is. Just ANYTHING. Today the girls and I spent the day at my parents home. Just hanging out like always. After we got home I found 4 messages on the machine. One of which was the genetic counselor. I don't know why she didn't call my cell phone. Of course we got home after business hours. So I did what any sane Mom who jumps every time the phone rings would do. I called her voicemail in hopes she was working late. Of course she wasn't. So I left a message and hope I didn't sound desperate when I basically begged her to call my cell phone tomorrow. I'm not so good at being patient.
To add to the increasing anxiety level, Ava has a "well child" check up tomorrow morning. I get nervous to hear what the doctors see in our daughter that we don't. At least the appointment got changed from afternoon to morning so we can get it over with sooner.

Dear Amy,
ReplyDeleteI don't know if you remember me, but I am a friend of your sister-in-law Kristy and I have two children, Grace and Ben. I know we have met at the pool and on several other ocassions. I think Grace may have been a helper in your girls' room at VBS at Hockessin Baptist this summer.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I am praying for you and your dear family. As far as missing the phone call from the genetic counselor, I can't imagine how frustrating that would be. You and Allan have had more on your plate in your young lives than most people have in a lifetime.
Please know that the Blatchford family is pulling for you, praying for you, and we are cheering on little Ava. If you ever need a Saturday or Sunday babysitter for your kids, the four of us would love to help. We know we would have a ball with all of those little ones!
Your sister in Christ,
Jackie Blatchford
Amy, Ditto to this. My girls are waiting for their playdate with your girls, with or without their Mama is fine too. What ever you need friend. Thursday this week is suppose to be pretty yukky. Want to make our own sunshine?
